Planning Your Trip

When leaving your home, and travelling far away, last minute is not a good option. There are large factors one must come face to face with.

If I have pets, who will take care of them? Will I take my pet?

What should I pack? What do I need to bring? What do I not need to bring?

What happens if I am in an emergency?

How can I prevent emergencies from happening?

Then there are more obvious ones that you may want to plan such as:

Where am I going?

What am I to do there?

How do I get there?

Where am I staying?

How much money am I willing to spend?

What is my form of transportation?

There is more than that. So, a basic itinerary is useful.

How does on go about writing a basic itinerary?

It’s simple folks! If you are travelling by plane, boat, train, etc.: book your tickets. When doing such things, be reasonable. You may not want to wake up at 4 in the morning to get to the airport. However,  8 is much more reasonable.

You may also want to look at the amenities at some hotels, and see what you like the most. If you’re taking your dog, your hotel should say that it is dog friendly. If your beside the beaches of Cancun however, you don’t necessarily need to pay money for a pool.

You may also research what you want to do in the area. Don’t set it in stone, you may change your mind when you get there. If you need to plan the exact times of things, give yourself a lot of free time to explore.  Who knows what you’ll find!

There’s a general look at planning your trip. If you want information specifically about the Yucatan , the rest of the site should help with that.
